The Equinox 600 is almost as great a detector as the 800. The big difference between them is that the 600 only has 3 preset modes-Park, Field, and Beach. There is no Gold program. It also only has 6 custom programs available. Other than that, it has most of the other great features that the 800 has. It’s sleek and lightweight, has intelligent multi-frequency, can use several single frequencies, uses wireless headphones, is waterproof to 10 feet, and can use all the same coils the 800 does. The 600 does not have as many frequencies as the 800 and not as many fine tuning adjustments. It also comes with wired headphones, not wireless. Those can be added later. For most detecting, it will do just as well as the 800 at an incredible price!
